President’s Message – May 2025
Rooted in Purpose, Blooming in Connection
Dear Powerful Connections Members,
As the warmth of May surrounds us, I can’t help but feel inspired by the energy and momentum pulsing through our community. April was a month of alignment, action, and authentic connection—and it’s clear: this network of women is not just growing, we’re thriving with purpose.
We launched our new text messaging system in April, and it’s already making a meaningful difference in how we stay connected. Thank you to Carey for managing the rollout and updating contact information—it’s these behind-the-scenes efforts that make our group stronger and more responsive. A big thanks also to Cheri, who is cleaning up our Gmail mailing list to ensure every message reaches the right woman at the right time.
Our April Business Roundtable sparked some powerful conversations and offered a space for real connection and wisdom-sharing. If you haven’t experienced one yet, I encourage you to join us next time—these smaller gatherings are where leadership meets learning in the most intentional ways.
We also celebrated one of our most successful luncheons to date, with record-breaking attendance and a speaker who left us all feeling uplifted and empowered. My gratitude to Emily and everyone who helped make it happen—and to each of you who showed up with your presence and your power. This is what makes our community truly exceptional.
Looking ahead, we have a full and exciting May:
- Book Club meets Wednesday, May 15th
- May 28th will be extra special with an afternoon of golf followed by our Refresh at Rewsters at 4:30 PM
And because we believe in planning with purpose, mark your calendars now for our Fall Luncheon on October 17th—you won’t want to miss it!
Here’s to a month of connection, confidence, and continuing to grow what matters most—each other.

Join Megan Nichols on May 15th at Frost Me Sweet Bakery & Bistro, 710 The Pkwy, Richland, WA at 5 pm for a thoughtful, empowering book club read where we’ll dive into how letting go can actually help you reclaim your power. Let’s grow together—no pressure, just perspective.

Jump Off Joe Guided Hike - May 24th - 8:00 AM
Come join PC member Cheri Montee on a guided hike on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 8:00 AM!
From Cheri: Ready to take our networking outdoors?  I’d love for you to join me for a casual hike filled with good company, fresh air, and inspiring conversation.
For those looking for a little extra challenge, there will also be an alternate longer route for a run – feel free to pick your pace! This hike will be just outside of Kennewick at a great spot called Jump Off Joe. The views at the top are amazing!
Directions:
Head south on I 82 out of Kennewick heading toward the Oregon border. Take exit 114 off I 82 onto 397. Go East about 2 Miles and take a right on Owens Road for about 4 Miles and that is where we will start at the corner of Jump Off Joe Rd and Owens Road. |

May’s Refresh is around the corner! Come share this month’s achievements with fellow PC members at Rewster’s Craft Bar and Grill, Wednesday, May 28th at 4:30pm.
For those joining the golf outing that afternoon, this Refresh is conveniently located on the golf course!

Details:
- 5:30pm Arrival / 6:00pm Start Time
- $36 for golfing & cart per person
To join in the fun, call Horn Rapids Golf Course at (509)375-4714 starting May 1st and reserve spot and/or pre-pay! No experience necessary, just a positive attitude More details about the actual golfing to come!
