Members are encouraged to participate to the extent that they can maintain a good Life-Work Balance while understanding that the value of the group comes from participation.
Semi-Annual Luncheons
Twice a year, Spring and Fall, we host a luncheon focused on professional development/education and networking. Attempting to merge membership requests and current topics we schedule speakers to share their expertise with the group in an interactive format.
Luncheons are typically a half day event and are open to prospective members who are guest of a current member.

- How Can We Both Handle and Manage Change
- Creating Life – Work Balance
- Expanding Your Business Through Enhanced Sales and Marketing Skills
Power Hour
Power Hour is an opportunity for members to learn and share from each other’s expertise in the group as well as develop and strengthen networking relationships. Power Hours are held the second Tuesday of every month from 7:30 am to 8:30 am at The Local. Topics change monthly and this group is open to prospective members who are the guest of a current member.

Lunch & Learn
Lunch & Learn is a monthly session that features local experts providing their insights and experience on a particular topic. Lunch & Learn is held the first Wednesday of every month from Noon to 1pm at RE/MAX Professionals. Topics change monthly.

- How to Plan and Organize a Catered Event for your Clients or Employees
- Creative Ways to Market Your Business
Masterminds
Masterminds are groups that comes together on a semi-monthly basis for the purpose of problem solving, brain-storming, networking, and encouraging and motivating each other. They share ideas, thoughts, information, feedback, and resources. By getting the perspective, knowledge, experience, and resources of the others in the group, you can move beyond your view of the world and can advance your own goals and projects more quickly.
Social & Business Networking
Social and Business Networking activities are scheduled each quarter with the goal of building relationships and business knowledge between the members. Based on the idea that, “you don’t have to know everything – you just have to know someone who does”, social/business networking allow members to discover the wealth of resources available in other members.
Members and prospective members can join us for our monthly Refresh Social. There is a standing schedule for the last Wednesday of each month from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Additional events are scheduled as opportunities arise. Check our Facebook page for updates!
Mentor Program
The Mentor Program is designed to assist women whose goal is to be in a leadership position either within a company or as the owner of the company. Applications are taken every other year and successful candidate would have demonstrated their desire through actions to learn, grow and take a leadership role. The first year Mentees meet monthly going through an established curriculum along with guided networking activities. The second year the Mentees form a mastermind group with the potential of quarterly learning activities. Mentees are extended member status and are thus eligible to participate in all Powerful Connection’s programs and activities.

The next Lunch and Learn will focus on the roundtable discussion of Negotiation for Women. It is scheduled for March 4 at Re/Max.
