Powerful Connections was founded in 2005 to provide a professional women’s group focusing on the unique challenges facing women who own or direct their own businesses.  The organization has grown quickly from the original three founders to a vibrant group of over 50 members with an active Board of Directors hosting a wide variety of educational, personal growth and business development activities.  As the name implies, our purpose is to develop meaningful connections that benefit members in all areas of their professional and personal lives.

Started in 2013, the Mentor Program provides an opportunity for women at an earlier stage of their careers to participate in Powerful Connections’ education, networking and work/life balance activities and opportunities.

If you are accepted into the PC Mentor Program, as a PC Mentee, you will be expected to participate in monthly program events, including at least one of the semi-annual luncheons, leadership skills seminars, and other available activities such as Power Hour.  Additionally, you will meet at least four PC members through directed networking opportunities. The PC Mentee class size will be intentionally small to provide a quality experience to each participant.

Mentor Program participants pay a $100 annual participation fee (one half the current annual dues) payable upon acceptance into the program.   Participants may be eligible to participate no more than two years, depending on Mentor Program participation.  The Mentor Program year will run from April through May of the following year, and is a two year program.  After successful completion of the Mentor Program, mentees will be offered membership in Powerful Connections regardless of their industry group.
